Why MRO procurement is so complicated?
When it comes to MRO, the user community typically has strong attachments to supplier partners and they also have a much greater stake in avoiding down-time and outages. MRO encompasses a complex mix of highly technical products and specialised services that can be difficult to understand and to manage. In CBRE we buy MRO for our FM and technical self-delivery business so the range of MRO categories is smaller (when compared to general MRO) but nevertheless, still critical to the running and successful operation of client infrastructure.
